Britney Spears Said Her 15-Year-Old Son Jayden Won’t “Get Anything” From Her In Two Years After He Publicly Discussed His “Emotional Trauma” And Their Strained Relationship

Britney Spears has been one of the most spoken-about pop music celebrities in America. She has had her ups and downs which have both led to her earning that spotlight. In a recent interview with iTV News, her son, Jayden, opened up about their “strained relationship“. He said it would take “time and effort” to repair any damage that was done to affect their bond. Britney was infuriated with her son for publicly shaming their mother and son relationship, and divulged his “emotional trauma” to the world. She now says Jayden will not get anything from her.

Britney Spears and sons

Jayden and Preston are the children of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. In 2007, the celebrity couple separated, and they shared custody over their two sons. Britney is responsible for paying alimony, including $20,000 per child, every month in child support. Last week, Britney Spear’s son, Jayden, participated in an interview with iTV News. The scope of the interview was the “emotional trauma” he and his brother, Preston, endured from their mother. Jayden said that in order to fix their broken mother-son relationship, they would need to put in a lot of “time and effort“.

Britney’s ex, Kevin, has made a habit of gaining backlash from Britney’s fans. In 2018, he asked for an increase on the $20,000, even though she is also paying for their clothes, school fees, and insurance, on top of the $40,000 in child support. The Daily Mail also conducted an interview with him where he divulged his son’s relationship with their pop-star mother. In this interview, he mentioned the discomfort Jayden and Preston feel about their mother’s almost-nude Instagram pictures.

Jayden’s interview

Last week, Jayden elaborated on Kevin’s interview with the Daily Mail. He spoke about their strained relationship, and how he thought it was best not to attend his mother’s wedding. Britney Spears was engaged and now married, to Sam Asghari, whom she had been dating since 2016. “She didn’t invite the whole family and then if it was just going to be me and Preston,” said Jayden to ITV. “I just don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms.”

“I don’t think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that,” he said. “We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal, heal our mental state. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again.”

Jayden went on to describe how his grandfather, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, was being wrongfully lammed for abuse. He confirmed his love for his grandfather and said he was only trying to do the right thing as a father. “[Jamie] doesn’t deserve all the hatred he is getting in the media,” said Jayden. “I love him, with all my heart. He was just trying to be a father.”

Britney’s response to Jayden’s interview

Britney took to Instagram only a few short hours after the interview between Jayden and iTV news was released. “It deeply saddens me to know his outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother,” she said in a since-deleted audio clip. “If you could pause for a second, remember where you came from!!! I hope you can look in the mirror and remember… You are my child and always will be!!!”

Britney went on to talk about the money she has been spending in order to help her own mother pay off her home and legal fees. “So Jayden, as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘I hope she gets better, I will pray for her,” she said. “Pray for what? I keep working so I can pay off mom’s legal fees and her house? Do you guys want me to continue to get better so I can continue giving your dad 40 grand a month?”

Then, Britney Spears dropped a bomb, by suggesting that she will not give Jayden anything when he turns 18. He is just about to turn 16 years old, so there would be two years left of child support. She asked, “Or is the reason you guys have decided to be hateful is that it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?” She then added: “You were just like my other family. You secretly loved looking at me as [if] something was wrong with me.
