Gordon Ramsay’s Video Appearing To Pick A Lamb To Slaughter Receives Backlash

Gordon Ramsay could be in for some backlash on the internet now. The culinary personality- who is known for his infamous temper- has attracted controversy in the latest video. Last Thursday saw the chef- who has around 33.3 million followers on TikTok- post a video to the platform that many have found to be in poor taste. The clip- which has already garnered close to 9.3 million views, shows the chef choosing a lamb for slaughter. What makes this video even more horrifying is that Ramsay seems to be doing it right on the lambs’ faces.

In a sing-song tone, Gordon Ramsay is heard saying, “I’m going to eat you. Which one’s going in the oven first? You!” All this time he is perched atop a fence. He also seems to be embodying the cartoonish villain- as he keeps rubbing his hand in glee. As the video continues, Ramsay captions it with, “The Lamb sauce was still not found in the making of this video…” This is a reference to Hells Kitchen in New York, which Ramsay manages. The video ends with the chef jumping in the pen and the lambs running away from him.

It is assumed that the video on TikTok was filmed by Gordon Ramsay at the same time he was visiting a farm for a National Geographic show. Although Ramsay was already famous in Hollywood and around the world, the TikTok fame has been otherworldly. He seems to be gaining traction on the social media platform by spades. He usually reacts to amateur as well as professional cooking videos. But unlike the rest of his videos, this has definitely sparked a lot of criticism. One user commented, “Alright I think Gordon has finally lost it. Someone do something before it’s too late.” Another user wrote, “Okay I am not a vegan or vegetarian but that crosses the line.” According to Insider, Ramsay went on to clarify that no animals were used for the video.

Gordon Ramsay and The Vegan Teacher- A Battle On TikTok

Interestingly, not everyone on TikTok has been blaming Gordon Ramsay. One user commented, “It’s like people are just finding out now where meat comes from… like what?” Other users brought up an old feud that Ramsay has with The Vegan Teacher. This TikTok user, whose real name is Kadie Karen Diekmeyer, has been a staunch critic of Ramsay. She has also been banned from the social media platform due to her behavior in trying to get everyone to turn vegetarian- or even vegan. Back in 2021, Ramsay got into a bit of a kerfuffle with The Vegan Teacher over the latter’s criticism of his cooking, serving, and eating meat. The chef went on to respond to this criticism by filming himself taking a giant bite of a burger. What made this video even more inflammatory was that he was listening to her song, while calling her a vegan doughnut.

As it turns out, being banned from TikTok hasn’t stopped The Vegan Teacher from her methods. She made another account under a different username where she has recorded songs blasting Gordon Ramsay. One of those songs is named “Why Are You A Veganphobic Animal Bully?” where Diekmeyer is wearing a shirt that reads, “Gordon Ramsay is an Animal Abuser.” The confrontational style that Gordon Ramsay embodies is bound to get haters. He has often had arguments with Jamie Oliver, Piers Morgan, Marcus Samuelsson- and his own father-in-law!

Guess it’s time that the lambs add Gordon Ramsay to their blacklist.
