Dallas had to be one of the most popular shows to ever grace our TV screens. With 14 seasons under its belt, it is an undeniable favorite in many households. Victoria Principle was one of the co-stars, perfectly playing her role as Pam. Now, at 73 years old, she reminisces about her time in the show. Moreover, the world is astonished at how good she looks. Time has certainly treated her well.

It is not unheard of for an actor or actress to fall in love with the character they play in movies and TV shows. Victoria Principal is one of them. She played the ever-loved Pam, on one of the most popular TV shows, “Dallas.” She is now 73 years old, and the show has since come to an end, with the last episode aired in 2014. However, she still likes to reminisce about her time on the show, and her fans still fawn over how amazing she looks.
In an 2018 interview with PEOPLE when she was 68 years old, Victoria said: “When I went in for the part on Dallas, I had already fallen in love with the show and with the part. So my feeling from the moment I read it was that it was incredibly special and that I really, really wanted to be a part of it. I could not imagine not being Pam.”
Victoria Principal adored her character. She even went as far as to say that she couldn’t imagine herself playing anyone else. “The first five years were some of the best television I’ve ever seen,” she says. “And then after year seven, there was a definitive decline. At year seven, it was time for me to renegotiate my contract and I was very candid about my concern and my disappointment; that we had had such good writing and so many wonderful plots, and that when the time came to renegotiate the writers’ contracts, I felt that a number of writers had left because they had not gotten the right deal.”

Who is Victoria?
It’s intriguing to meet a celebrity who played principal roles, and ironically has the surname Principal. Who is this actress, aside from how we know her from her role as Pam in “Dallas?” Well, Victoria may have been married twice in her life, with both marriages ending in divorce. She never had any children, so she dedicated her time to her work.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1950, in Fukuoka, Japan. Her father, Victor Rocco Principal, was in the US Airforce. Her mother was Georgia native Ree Veal. For the first three months of her life, she lived in Japan, until the Principals moved to London. Victoria did not have one home, as they moved around a lot due to her father’s career in the Airforce. They also lived in Puerto Rico, Florida, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Although, these are only a few of the places she lived.
After graduating from high school in 1968, Victoria went to Miami–Dade Community College. She wished to study medicine there, but the world had other plans. She suffered great injuries in a terrifying car crash caused by a drunk driver. As a result, she had to drop out of her first year. Instead of re-doing her first year, she changed her life course to a career in acting. She enrolled at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Victoria Principle Looks Gorgeous at 73
In 1989, Victoria Principal started a skin-care brand. The brand included an array of serums, moisturizers, and pretty much anything that would enhance the beauty and glow of one’s skin. These days she flaunts her gorgeous looks at 73 years old. She is seemingly the proof that her brand did the trick.
As an actress, her first roles were in Western movies, including “The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean.” For this role, she won a Golden Globe nomination for showing such promise as a new-come to the Hollywood scene.
After a few more roles in various other productions, she landed her spot as Pamela Barnes Ewing in “Dallas,” in 1978. Funnily enough, Victoria Principal was a talent recruiter, searching for young talent to play parts in movies and TV shows. When she came across the script, she fell deeply in love with the character Pam. She knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that she was the ideal person to take the part.
