Beauty is one of the most lucrative industries this world has to offer. People from all sorts of backgrounds spend absurd amounts of money to maintain the standards created by society. People are expected to age gracefully, but never to look old. Botox has risen in popularity over the years, especially with celebrities. But, just because the wrinkles are hidden, doesn’t mean the public hasn’t noticed. Simon Cowell appeared on a live stream recently, suddenly seeming years younger. Although, he wasn’t fooling anyone.
Simon Cowell hiding years from his face
The 63-year-old Got Talent creator is well known for his brash personality on TV. His fame is largely based on his music production, as well as the extremely critical comments he makes as a Judge on stage for the Got Talent Franchise. He recently posted a selfie video where he urged people to audition for the next America’s Got Talent. This was coincidentally right after David Williams, one of the judges on the panel, quit the show.
The video, which has since been deleted, sparked some deep concern from his followers and fans. His face suddenly seemed years younger, but many people were caught off-guard by how different he looked. A lot of comments were made that he was completely unrecognizable. His complexion was unnaturally shiny, his teeth a bright white, and not a wrinkle in sight. Simon Cowell’s fans called him out for using some kind of cosmetic procedure and urged him to stop immediately.
In the selfie clip, he said: “I always say on this show, two or three minutes can change your life. And it has. And maybe this time it’s gonna be you. So please audition now for next year’s season and I look forward to meeting you.”

Comments from concerned critics
Naturally, the comments section was overloaded with critics claiming concern. Simon Cowell has many fans, and they saw right through his smooth forehead. Most comments followed the same theme, and it is safe to say his fans or not fond of his new complexion. Someone begged him to stop getting Botox: “Oh no, Simon, enough with the Botox, please!”
One person wrote: “Not one for slagging someone’s appearance but his face looks like it’s melting.” Another said: “Holy moly, I nearly didn’t recognize him.” And a third said: “Well…I’m torn between my general hatred of Simon Cowell’s TV shows & being alarmed as to how he looks these days. I’m going for the latter this morning.”
In and out of procedures
This is not the first time Simon Cowell has filled his face subjected to cosmetic procedures. He has been familiar with fillers in the past, and has had multiple surgeries over the years. Moreover, he has been pretty candid about this in the past. In 2018, Simon had a facelift, and various fillers and Botox injected. then, after a motorbike accident, Simon had teeth veneers added.
In April earlier this year, however, he made a statement renouncing Botox and fillers forever. Not only did he say it made him look “like something out of a horror film,” he said he was struggling to recognize his own face. He said: “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me first of all. Eric [Simon’s son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
