Lizzo Posted a Nude Photo While Encouraging Self-Love

Lizzo has become an idol for many women worldwide. Her outgoing and confident approach to life captivates her audience. They are inspired by her courage, in a world that for so long defined beauty by how slim you were. Her body positive movement started with her music. But, in February this year, she posted a nude photo in honor of self-love. Naturally, her audience lapped up every word, and so her fan base continues to grow.

In February this year, Lizzo took off her clothes and posed in front of a camera. Hiding nothing, she posted the pictures in honor of self-love. In her opinion, love does not discriminate against parts of her body, and true love means they love every inch of her being. The post may have been a slight hint of a promotion for her new song, but that does not distract from the meaning behind it. Both the picture and the song “About Damn Time,” carry the same message.

“If you love me… you love all of me. You don’t get to pick and choose. We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves. Take a moment today and think about the conditions we hold so tightly to that keep us from the freedom of true love. Do you really wanna be so tightly wound? Free yourself in love. You deserve it.”

There were some negative comments from those who disagreed with the post. However, many people shared their comments of appreciation. zefrem113a said: “Magnificent goddesses of Power, Beauty and Love. So, many fools in the comments. They don’t know true beauty when they see it. Bless you, love. Bless your mind, heart, strength, beauty and your life.

Another supportive comment read: “You’re beautiful Lizzo. Be you, do you, love you. F*** the naysayers.” And, another comment read: “Absolutely your perfect. Let nobody tell you different. Your beautiful inside and out”

She’s an inspiration to many!

Lizzo has centered her fame around her body-positive movement. In February she did a shoot where she was dressed in absolutely nothing. Being nude does not seem to be a foreign concept for Lizzo, who flaunts her stuff quite regularly, and almost rebelliously. For anyone who needs a confidence boost in their body image, all they would need to do is scroll through Lizzo’s Instagram feed. There they will find an array of pictures of Lizzo loving life and oozing positivity.

From eating corn dogs live on Instagram (because seeing people eat is satisfying to her, she says) to posing in gorgeous dresses, not caring to dress for what society says is appropriate for her body type. Ultimately, it seems that Lizzo simply wants people to enjoy their life. Eating food, or working out – whatever makes you feel confident and happy is good for her.

In another post, Lizzo spoke about using her music to help people with mental health problems. She realized that lockdown had a negative effect on many people. So many would be dealing with depression and anxiety. She wanted to create music that would help them get through their struggles. She captioned the post with: “I had to remember, when we come out of lockdown, people are going to be coming out of a depression. And the end of lockdown does not signify the end of their mental health struggles. So I wanted to make music that people can use as a soundtrack to survive”
