Children say the darndest things – and sometimes, the things they say are downright creepy! Perhaps you have a child, niece, or nephew who said something strange. Or maybe you were babysitting once and the kid really freaked you out, so you know what I’m talking about. If you’ve been lucky enough to never have a child say something that gave you goosebumps, then we’ve got a good list of them here so you won’t feel left out.
Creepy Things Kids Have Said That Will Make You Question Your Beliefs
Some of us believe in ghosts and the supernatural, some of us don’t. For those that do, many believe that kids have insight into this “spirit world” that adults don’t. Whether you believe in it all or not, when a child says something random or starts talking to someone who isn’t there, it can really creep you out. These are some of the creepiest things kids have said to the adults in their lives. They will make your hair stand up!
1. Seeing People They’ve Never Met
Some people believe that children have the capability to see the ghosts of family members or loved ones who died, even ones from before they were born. These kids certainly had their parents more than a little freaked out with their statements about dead relatives.
2. Predicting Death
Kids often ask questions about death, especially if a death has just occurred. Whether it’s a dog or a human, they want to know more about this difficult-to-grasp concept. It gets really creepy, however, when they begin talking about death that will happen in the future. The scariest part about it is the way they go about saying it. Usually, it is in a very matter-of-fact way – just like in a horror film. These parents have first-hand experience with childhood death predictions and it is enough to make you never want to talk to a child again.

3. Their Former Lives
Another thing that many people have heard their kids talk about is their “former” lives. Children will drop a casual explanation of who they were before and how they died without even batting an eye. I don’t know about you, but this makes me question everything I think I believe about reincarnation and what happens to us when we die.
4. Taken Over By Someone Else
Is there anything creepier than someone who looks at you dead-pan and tells you they aren’t who you think they are? There have been several instances of children who have suddenly started talking like someone else or saying that they are someone else. Eventually, they always go back to who they really are, but it certainly leaves an impression on those around them.
5. I See Dead People
This seems like the fictional horror film where the child in the film keeps seeing dead people. Clearly, the producers must have gotten the idea from children in there lives. There are plenty of creepy stories out there of kids who claim that they can see dead people. These ones will give you goosebumps, that I am sure.
We’ll Probaby Never Know The Truth
Kids say the most random things. They also pick up on things really easily. Plots or lines from books or movies. Things their friends tell them at school. Conversations they overhear between adults. Many of these stories can be explained simply by one of these points. Some of them though… I am not too sure. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
