When You Lose Your Mother, You Lose A Part Of Yourself

There is nothing quite like the bond between a mother and her child. Before we are even born we are completely reliant on our moms. These women put the needs of their children ahead of their own every single day. When you lose your mother, you lose a part of yourself too.

Mothers are far stronger than we give them credit for. They take on all of our worries and anxieties and love us no matter how we treat them or how many mistakes we make.

This is what makes the loss of a mother so difficult to bear. No matter how old you are, you need her, especially when times are tough. Her love cannot be replaced nor can it be forgotten.

When you lose your mother, you won’t feel like the same person

Anyone who has lost their mother knows how big of a whole it leaves. This woman has been by your side since the day you were born, and learning how to navigate life without her is one of the biggest challenges you will ever have to go through. While you will go on, you won’t ever be the same.

You will have to take a break for a while.

When you lose your mother, you need to take time to yourself to deal with those emotions and heal. Distracting yourself with your routine will only put off the inevitable break down you will have in the future.

Your mother loved you and would want you to be happy.

It can be tempting to curl up into a ball and never come out of it again. You may feel like you can’t go on and that you will never be able to feel happy ever again. While all of these emotions are understandable, remember this: Your mother spent your entire life trying to make sure you were healthy and happy. She would not want you to wallow in misery over her. Instead, she would want you to keep her in your heart always while you go on and continue to live a life full of adventure and joy. The best way to honour the never ending love of your mother is to pass it along to everyone you meet.

Do the things that you know would make your mother proud, and most importantly celebrate the life that your mother had and the one that she gave you.

She may be gone physically, but she lives on through you. Never forget that.
