Wakeboarding can be extremely fun, but there is one sure-fire way to make it even more fun — do it with a pod of dolphins. This is no easy task, but this woman had a very memorable encounter with a group of these beautiful sea mammals. It was all caught on camera in 2013, and it’s been going viral ever since.
The video shows the woman moving along at a slow pace wakeboarding while being pulled behind a boat. The dolphins were quick to match the speed of the boat. Not only were the pod of dolphins unfazed by the woman, but they seemed to be interested in swimming right beside her!

The woman seemed pretty relaxed while wakeboarding next to the pod of dolphins- and showed no signs of stopping. Soon, more dolphins got attracted to the commotion and came over where the action lay. This video was posted by Wyatt Miller, a professional windsurfer. And in the opinion of this professional, this was one of the three best afternoons of his entire life. It felt as if the couple felt quite alone at sea, and the dolphins wanted to keep them company. And needless to say, the humans were more than happy to acquiesce.

During the video, you can hear Miller operating the boat saying, “we’re going to make a Youtube sensation with this… it’s insane, absolutely insane.” And, guess what he wasn’t wrong. You can check out the video below:
As it turns out, the video of the woman wakeboarding next to the pod of dolphins went viral pretty fast. The video has already been viewed over 22 million times and has racked up over 18,000 likes. People throughout the world have been quite mesmerized by this event. And truth be told, one wouldn’t find it very difficult to imagine themselves in that situation. The beautiful moment found the couple in the midst of it– who were simply too joyous to not experience it firsthand. Surrounded by dolphins bowing to them- with the whole expanse of the ocean just at their fingertips- who wouldn’t want that image?
