Of all the pop stars of the late 80s and 90s, Madonna has been one to consistently be supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community. But recently, a TikTok video from her shocked the world- as she came out gay. Ever since the video made the waves of social media, her fans have been wondering if she would elaborate on this surprising bit of news. The video had her holding bright pink underwear and a garbage can beside her which had the caption, “If I miss, I’m gay.”
As it turns out, she missed the shot but looked quite nonchalant about it. After that, she threw her hands up and walked away playfully- with nary a care of the world. Most of her fans seemed quite unsurprised with this latest development, as the golden girl of pop music had been seen kissing Tokischa, the Dominican rapper, at the New York Fashion Week.[2]
In the TikTok video, Madonna was rocking a cream-colored corset which was put over a white tee with pink hair and matching pants. When she missed the shot, she apparently seemed to accept the outcome- as she stared into the camera with one arm thrown into the air. While most of her fans were unsurprised, some did feel quite confused. Some were dubious if the singer was actually gay, or if she had just hopped onto the trend. One fan asked, “What in the 80s is happening?” While another fan added, “Did Madonna just come out? And I’m witnessing it in real-time?” A third fan of the singer wrote, “Madonna this is very slay energy being delivered.”

Madonna Comes Out In Recent TikTok Video?
Madonna has never been one to shy away from the paparazzi getting glimpses of her love life. The songstress- who has often alluded to and spoken about her sexuality in the past- has mostly dated men. But she is still quite famous for kissing Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003. In fact, she was also reported to be romantically involved with model Jenny Shimizu in 1996. In a profile for Advocate back in 1991, the singer stated, “I think everybody has a bisexual nature. That’s my theory. I could be wrong.”
Tokischa and Madonna were also caught making out whilst performing at a concert together back in June at a New York City Pride event. The rapper from the Dominican Republic stated, “It was instant- we connected right away. We were doing this together and rehearsing for the show and talking all the time, so we got really close. We were in the mic recording and all of a sudden we was kissing already, and it’s so natural for both of us.” At the New York Fashion Week afterparty, Page Six also mentioned that Madonna had been booty dancing and twerking with the rapper. Madonna was previously married to Sean Penn, the actor, from 1985 to 1989. After that, she got hitched to Guy Ritchie, the English director, from 2000 to 2008. Although the singer had regretted getting married twice, she has often been linked to far younger partners- aged 28 and below.
