Lisa-Marie Presley was the only daughter of Elvis Presley, the infamous king of Rock music. His legacy is now to be continued by Lisa’s three remaining children. According to reports from The Sun, she died of cardiac arrest on Thursday. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Lisa was married four times in her 54 years of life, but only one of them was good enough to stand the test of time. Even if they also got divorced, they had a strong bond that could not be broken. Not even after the death of their son.
Danny Keough and Lisa-Marie met in unconventional circumstances for a healthy marriage. As a teenager, she had a rocky relationship with drugs and alcohol, seemingly taking after her father in that way. She was admitted to a rehabilitation clinic, and this was where their romance started. They had an immediate connection that Lisa-Marie knew would last for a long time.
Danny and Lisa’s children
In their six-year marriage, Lisa-Marie and Danny went through it all. Before they got married, Danny was part of her backup band. Eventually, they started dating and got married at the Celebrity Center International of the Church of Scientology. They exchanged their vows for each other in front of only nine witnesses. Reportedly, one of the most intimate celebrity weddings yet.
However, six years after they got married, they decided to go their separate ways, but only romantically. Their friendship was as strong as ever. Lisa-Marie once told Rolling Stone that Danny was her best friend. “He’s my absolute best friend in the world,” she said. Danny and Lisa-Marie had two children together. Their first was Riley Keough, who is now 33 years old. Their second was Benjamin Keough. He, unfortunately, committed suicide at age 27. Reportedly, Danny and Lisa-Marie were living together when Lisa-Marie passed away. They were consoling each other as best friends, not as lovers.
Till death do they part
She was convinced that choosing Danny as her first husband was one of her best decisions. They were so close that she knew they would always be in each other’s lives. “The smartest thing I’ve ever done is have children with this man because I knew this is the one man I could be connected to for the rest of my life,” she said. Unfortunately, death brought them together even after their divorce. They were reportedly living together after their son, Benjamin, died. However, it was a non-romantic union, as they loved each other as best friends. They simply supported each other in their grieving.
On a similar note, Lisa-Marie gave some sound advice to parents dealing with similar situations. She said: “Ultimately this is a good message to send out to people: You don’t have to put your crap on your kids even if you are not together. You can still be civilized. I knew at the age that I had the kids with him that Danny was someone I could be connected with for the rest of my life. I knew he would be a good father.”

Lisa-Marie Presley was married four times in her 54 years of life. Her first husband was Danny Keough. After their six-year marriage, Lisa went and tied the knot with none other than the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. This was only 20 days after her divorce from Danny was finalized. Her union with Jackson lasted two years, from the 26th of May 1994 to the 20th of August 1996.
Then, Lisa-Marie married Nicholas Cage. This marriage was short-lived, lasting only three months before they filed for divorce. Her last marriage was to Michael Lockwood. They were blessed with two more children, twins Finley, and Harper Lockwood.
When Lisa-Marie Presley passed away, Nicholas Cage said: “Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken,” the actor said in a statement, adding, “I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin.”
