In the old days, Royalty was not often seen walking on filthy grounds. Carpets would be laid down for them to walk on so that their grand shoes would remain clean. Even the noble classes could get away with this. These days, we are all equal. It is not exactly a normal thing to see someone having the ground cleaned before they walk on it. It seems as if Ice-T’s wife feels like she is above that. Witnesses reported seeing her assistant vacuuming the streets in New York before she walked.
There have been contradicting opinions on whether she is the real-deal germaphobe, or if she is just a serious drama queen pulling all the diva cards. In 2017 a video went viral that showed her assistant cleaning the sidewalk. She is seen walking behind him, holding her daughter in her arms. You can watch the clip below.

Is Ice-T’s wife a Germaphobe, or Just a Little Extra?
So, in 2017, the video mentioned above went viral. People were amazed to see someone who would go so far to walk on clean streets that she would hire her assistant to vacuum it before she walked. Not only would this make her an incredible amount of time to get from one place to another, but many people have also been baffled that she finds this a necessary expense.
That being said, most of us muggles cannot begin to imagine the daily struggles that celebrities have to endure… They face unscrupulous attention from the media all the time, it must cause a massive amount of stress for them. On the other hand, having someone vacuum the street before you, in public vision, s not going to help you avoid media attention – and so we are here.
So, there have been claims that Coco is actually highly germophobic, but that remains to be certain. What’s curious, is how comfortably she greeted that stranger in the clip, as a germaphobe might not. This public display could simply have been a publicity stunt to attract more attention. One thing is for sure, it worked.
The video shows a seemingly approachable Nicole (Coco) Austin walking on a street in New York. She is wearing a brightly patterned, pink, and tight-fitting outfit, with her baby daughter in her arms. Her assistant was wearing all black, looking professional, but is holding a loud vacuum and is literally cleaning the streets before she walks on it. Coco looks as if this is completely normal. She greets people as they pass her by, unperturbed over them taking videos of her on their phones.
What’s Next for Coco?
Ice-T and Coco Austin have been married for about 15 years. This is quite some time as celebrity marriages go, so they must be doing something right. Their baby girl was born in 2015. The pair are often posting pictures of their happy family on their social media accounts.
Coco has acted like a complete diva in the past. So, this strange behavior with the vacuum is weird, for sure. But her followers might remember some of her past calls for attention. She has posted nude images on media to promote body positivity. So, even if she does have an Obsessive Compulsion disorder (which would completely explain the vacuum stint) she can’t expect this to happen every time she leaves her house. What will happen when she has to start taking her now five-year-old daughter to school every day. That might get interesting for the teachers.
