The Royal family are known for many scandalous rumors and secrets. Over the years, many a documentary has been made, and articles written about the intricate lives they lead as part of the monarchy. One thing that hasn’t really been spoke about enough, is the fact that prince William and Harry have, in fact, a sister! Or, at least, a step-sister. Today we are bringing to the surface details about their royal sibling, Laura Lopes, kept for so long in the dark.
Who is Laura Lopes?
the royal princes, William and Harry, have been in the headlines more times than anyone can count. Their lives have been so publicized, one might feel as if they know them personally. However, what the majority of the public are not aware, is that they have a step-sister, Laura lopes. She has been kept out of the public’s eye, at least only in the news. But now, everyone is curious to know more about this elusive royal sister.
Before Charles married Dianna, it was known that he and Camilla Rosemary Shand were deeply in love. Charles was considered a “hunk” back in his youth, making him one of the most eligible bachelor in the UK. Respectable women from across the county swooned when he was present, but he only had eyes for one woman. They would go on weekend getaways in the country-side to escape the reporters, and the watchful eye of the public.
Alas, their love story was not to be, as Queen Elizabeth did not approve the match. She would rather have her son with either Lady Ruth Fermoy or Lady Sarah Spencer (Diana’s sister). The future queen of England relied on a strategic match, not one of the heart. So, Charles eventually broke up with Camilla because he was obligated to join the Navy. During that time, Camilla got married to Andrew Parker Bowels. They had two children, which is where Laura Lopes comes into the picture.
The royal step-sister
It was no secret that Princess Diana and Prince Charles had an anything but healthy marriage. Dianna suffered from depression and eating disorders, not to mention juggling a third person in their marriage. It is unclear when Camilla Parker Bowels reappeared in Charles’s life, but she was one of the guests invited to Charles and Diana’s wedding. Much to Diana’s perplexity. Charles and Camilla remained would meet up in secret, but no one could fool Dianna.
Back in 1978, When Camilla was still married to Andrew Parker Bowels, she bore two children. The first was Laura Lopes. According to a royal reporter, Katie Nichols, William and Laura did not get along in their youths. She wrote in her book, Harry and William, “William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes. William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother, which would send Laura into a rage. Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William, ‘Your father has ruined my life.’”
She married a Calvin Klein model
Laura Parker Bowels grew up and married Harry Lopes, a Calvin Klein model. She had three children of her own, Eliza, Gus, and Louis Lopes. On the outside it seems as if Harry and William accepted their step-siblings into their family.. but rumors have it it isn’t the case behind closed doors.
Allegedly, William and Harry blamed Camilla for their parent’s failed marriage. This was obviously taken to heart by Laura and Tom. Eventually, they all grew up, and the complications of marriage became more known to them. This enabled them to set aside their indifference, and work on their relationships. When Kate and William got married, Laura’s daughter was one of the bridesmaids.
Reportedly, Charles once said that he “may bestow royal titles upon his stepchildren”. However, this remains to be seen. What matters is, they have formed a part of the royal family for good.
