AI Turns Family Guy Into A 1980s Live-Action Sitcom, And The Results Are Freaky

Family Guy is a popular show that has been on the air for roughly 20 years. Recently, an AI artist decided to see what it would be like as a live-action sitcom. While the results are freakish, devoted fans seem to like it. The fake opening titles for the show were posted by Lyrical Realms, a YouTuber- who routinely utilizes Artificial Intelligence to create themed videos and other stuff. The YouTuber has also used AI to create music videos that “use their own lyrics as an input for AI image generation models.” Seth McFarlane’s Family Guy is also quite popular as an animated dark comedy series, and getting reanimated as an 80s live-action family sitcom does put a new twist in this tale.

The opening credits of the reanimation of Family Guy would take the fans of the show through the six main characters of the family- Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie, and Brian the dog. The supporting cast members of the show, Glenn Quagmire, Cleveland Brown, and Joe Swanson, also find a role in this live-action sitcom. Many fans of the show thought that this video was extremely accurate, with several believing that AI could put the Griffin family at the very heart of their own retro sitcom.

One fan commented, “Feels like a bizarre window into an alternate reality.” Another fan stated, “It’s scary how well these realistic counterpoints make sense.” A third fan also commented, “It’s really uncanny and kinda creepy that AI is making these… they look freakishly realistic.

Family Guy Should Be Made Into A Live-Action Sitcom- According to Fans

Some believed that the effects of the Family Guy AI show were perfect, with Joe and Glenn looking exactly as they would if they were real characters. Many fans of the show also begged for this AI sitcom to be turned into a reality. One fan stated, “I unironically actually want to watch this as an 80s sitcom.” Another fan said, “You have no idea how badly I would binge the heck out of this show.” One person noted the similarity between AI Stewie and Brian in a certain episode of the show. “Brian and Stewie look exactly like they do in the Multiverse episode where they get transported to the real-life dimension.

Not Just Family Guy

This wouldn’t be the first time that AI was used to reanimate something from the 80s or 90s. Recently, an AI artist decided to show the members of the “Golden Girls” as rappers, with Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, and Blanche looking like the rappers from the hood. A fan of the Golden Girls commented, “As if these ladies aren’t the OG badasses already!” In another instance, AI was also used to create South Park into a live-action sitcom, with Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny looking exactly like one would have considered them to look. For those wondering, Kenny did look extremely snug- like he does in the show itself.

Interestingly, AI was also used to reimagine the cast of The Office in a Mad Max setting. While one can still visualize Family Guy as a live-action sitcom, something as peaceful as The Office in a world filled with dystopian violence should definitely come as a shock to even the most rabid fan. Michael, Jim, Dwight, Kevin, and the others look like they are about to jump up on modified vehicles and roam the wastelands in search of fuel or other resources. One fan commented, “Michael really be staring into my soul rn like-
