One of the biggest ways to deal with riddles is by paying attention to detail. You can’t afford to be blindsided. In fact, the best way to solve a puzzle would be to observe the entire question and then solve it. Remember, the answer is usually hidden in the question.

All you need to do is keep looking for answers in an unorthodox way. After all, there is no book that can teach you how to answer a riddle. You need to keep thinking out of the box- for that will bring out the answers. At the end of the day, it all depends on how quick you are with your mind.

If you find the answer to be 12, then the answer is wrong. This riddle does look a little bit tricky to solve, doesn’t it? Well, all you need to focus on is the perception of the question. As you can see, there are no signs given at the end of the first and the second line- which implies that the two numbers are to be taken as 11. Now, if you simply put it in a single sentence, you will find the correct answer.
