During the mid-1950s, Elvis Presley rose to stardom. Featured on the radio, on TV, and in film, Elvis fast became one of Rock n Roll history’s biggest names.
As the ‘King of Rock n Roll’ as he was fondly known, Presley went on to release multiple chart-toppers, including Heart Break Hotel, Love Me Tender, All Shook Up, and Can’t Help Falling in Love. Apart from his many international hits, Elvis starred in a few movies, too. He can be seen in the film Blue Hawaii and Viva Las Vegas.
Although he passed away in 1977, the legend that is Elvis Presley lives on. His music is still a household name globally, and he continues to inspire aspiring singers every day.
One such Elvis fan is then-11-year-old singer, Angelina Jordan.
Angelina Jordan is a professional singer from Norway. She participated in Norway’s Got Talent back in 2014, where she won the title! Her song choice for that contest was jazzier in sound than her Elvis cover, which shows how versatile the young singer truly is.
Angela’s amazing voice has gained her fans far and wide. Many videos of her can be found online and have gone viral. For obvious reasons!
Angela’s Incredible Elvis Cover
In recent years, one of Angela’s most popular and viral videos is one of her covering the famous Elvis Presley love song, “It’s Now or Never.”
The then 11-year-old is clearly a born performer. She starts off singing the lyrics to the love song, imitating Presley’s words and beautifully capturing his style.
As Angela sings, families watch on, clearly enjoying the performance; some even join in and start singing along with her. After several minutes, the song nears an end, and Angela finishes off her awesome rendition. The crowd can be seen bursting into applause for the young and talented star.[1]

Another famous singer of his time, jazz orientated Frank Sinatra won multiple awards for his music. Some of his most popular songs, still often played today, include; Strangers in the night, My way, and New York, New York.
When the young singer was only 8 years old, the popular all-time favorite TV show The View had her do a live performance.
Speaking to host Rosie O’Donnell, she explains how she started her singing career at the tender age of just one and a half years old! She also tells Rosie that she started singing jazz style songs.
The talented Angela sang one of Sinatra’s most famous songs, ‘Fly me to the moon,’ where she blew everyone away. Her jazzy voice, as can be heard below, is so unique and interesting. She definitely would have made Ol‘ Blue Eyes Frank very proud with this cover![2]
Angela’s Whitney Houston Tribute
We all know Whitney Houston. As one of the most awarded female artists of all-time, she released more tracks that hit number 1 than we can count. Some of our favorites include the likes of ‘It’s not right, but it’s okay,’ ‘Greatest Love of all’ and ‘One moment in time.’
In this video of Angela, she’s recording a tribute cover to Whitney Houston of the massive hit song ‘I have nothing’. Yet again, she shows her incredibly versatile voice and produces a unique version of the song.[3]
