People Are Judging Justin Timberlake’s Appearance at iHeart Radio Music Awards

Justin Timberlake is a name well remembered. However, his name has been dragged through the muck a few times. We all remember the wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson at the Superbowl, right? And lets not forget his rocky relationship with Britney Spears. However, this time he’s being criticized for different reasons, and it doesn’t seem justified. He is not being judged for his actions but rather for his appearance.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were once one of the most beloved couples among celebrities. When they broke up in 2002, rumors spread, which led to a great deal of scrutiny on both sides. Timberlake’s song “Cry Me a River,” was believed to be dedicated to his ex. In the end, Justin was judged by the public for allegedly exploiting their relationship and for not respecting Britney’s privacy. Some criticized Timberlake for being insensitive to her struggles with her mental health issues. Which had been berated by the media at the time. While their relationship may have ended years ago, the public has not forgotten the controversy they created.

Then, in 2004, Justin Timberlake was once again placed under the scrutinizing eye of the public. He and Janet Jackson performed together during the Superbowl that year. During their performance, Justin accidentally exposed Janet’s breast on live television, and in front of everyone in the audience. This cause a massive uproar among the public, even though he apologized profusely for the accident. According to reports, people felt he did not take accountability for his actions.

Many felt that he threw Jackson under the bus and did not adequately defend her from the criticism that followed. He later released a public apology for the incident. “[I am] deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right.”

Justin Timberlake is Judged for His Appearance

Taylor Swift recently won the Innovator Award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. In her honor, multiple musicians and celebrities created a package of videos where they celebrated her wins. Justin Timberlake was one of them, including Dolly Parton, Ed Sheeran, and Selena Gomes. Returning to the spotlight reminded the public about Justin Timberlake’s past controversial actions. However, instead of judging him on that (which is said to be “well-earned“) he is now being scrutinized for his appearance.

In this day and age, judging someone for their outward appearance is seen as hypocritically judgemental. Anyone who does so is berated for their actions. However, this has not deterred the public from passing criticizing comments about his looks. The father of two may have done some questionable things in his past, but that does not earn the public’s right to judge him for his looks.

Despite it All, Justin Remains in Entertainment Industry

Some might have slunk away with their tail between their legs after all that public controversy. However, Justin Timberlake refused to back down from his chosen career. He has made his return to the popular animated movie franchise, Trolls, for the third movie, Trolls Band Together. He is to continue lending his voice to the character, Branch. Alongside his voiceover co-star, Anna Kendrick, who voices the character, Poppy.

Timberlake’s involvement in the Trolls movie franchise has been a gift to his career in the music industry. The next edition is said to be a lively and heart-warming movie the whole family can enjoy. It is set to be released in November this year.
