They say, no good deed goes unrewarded. While you may be thinking that humanity lacks kindness, it is not really the case. There are people out there who would take a little time out of their lives to help others out. And remember, they don’t do it for any selfish gain. In the 21st Century, when most things are done for social clout- this isn’t the reason either. No, these individuals help others because it is the right thing to do. Humanity might have progressed beyond measure, but not so much that we have forgotten basic decency. Some people will do things, and expect nothing in return. And while you would be shocked at this apparent unfair transaction, it would give you a warm feeling later.
Now, why are we talking about kindness today? Well, all of this began on Twitter. The social media platform started talking about it when Maggie Fischer- a radio host- experienced it. She was so astonished by it that she had to talk about it. What was this incident? Well, as it so happens, a man simply walked up to the radio host, gave her a bottle of whiskey, and walked away. There was nothing creepy about it- nothing ulterior to it. The man simply told her that he respected her vibe. And in a world where people lived by doing things for personal gain, this was definitely a welcome change.
As it stands, this led to a spread of tweets on the platform. People from all walks of life came together to share their ‘it’ moment. Here are a few that really struck a chord.
