People Are Just Now Discovering Woman Who Tattooed Her Cat

Animal cruelty comes in many shapes and forms. And more recently, a trend in tattooing your pet has somehow started. As you can imagine, having an animal you claim to love and allowing it to suffer just to have some pictures on its skin is definitely animal cruelty. And, this woman who tattooed her cat is equally as guilty as any other.

The ASPCA says the following about tattooing animals if you needed any convincing that the act is incredibly cruel. Of course, Identification tattoos are not the same thing;[1]

“The tattooing of an animal for the selfish joy and entertainment of its owner, without any regard for the well-being of the animal, is not something the ASPCA supports.

The woman who tattooed her cat

Meet Elena Ivanickaya. She’s somehow flown under the radar until now. Recently, she posted some photos on Instagram of her cat, who is a Sphynx. His name is Yasha, and she had the Egyptian god Anubis tattooed on his chest.

This woman who tattooed her cat says she had Yasha sedated and then tattooed by a tattoo artist while he was asleep.

And of course, this made people very upset. And rightfully so![3]

Defending the cruel tattoo

Back in 2017, when this clearly crazy woman tattooed her cat, she also posted a photo of the newly inked animal on Instagram. It gained a lot of backlash. And, Elena’s partner, tried his best to defend the despicable and blatant cruelty.[2]

When, two months ago, we decided to make a tattoo for our cat Yasha, we rummaged through the Internet in search of information about whether or not it was harmful.

Making sure that in the world where thousands of sphinxes live well with tattoos, we asked the clinic if it would be harmful for our unique cat.

We got the answer – that we can calmly do it.

The best tattoo parlor of Chernigov (and probably all of Ukraine) was chosen, agreed with the vet – a woman wanting to do God-pleasing work.

And, if that isn’t disturbing enough, he continued to defend their choice with more absurd words;

“In those horrible photos that appeared online, it is she who is accurately holding Yasha.

Of course, these photos should not have appeared online, after all, when people are having operations, at this moment they do not look their best.

“All this time, Yasha was anesthetized and did not feel pain.

“Under the same anesthesia, various blasphemers cut off the testicles of their animals, something that angers God and his plan that all living things should be able to reproduce.

“Under the anesthesia, Yasha probably dreamed of an erotic dream, because his apparent erection was quite noticeable. Therefore, to say that he suffered – is not accurate.”

Woman who tattooed her cat claims neutering is the real cruelty

As if this story could get any more insane, the woman who tattooed her cat seems to think that having her pet neutered is cruel, and tattooing him is not. She went on defending her choice to have the poor cats skin inked by claiming his life is ‘better than yours’.[3]

“He has not been castrated, and he never will be; this would be real cruelty. I checked with the vet before getting him a tattoo, and they were fine with it, and a vet was present while they were doing the tattoo, so everything was under control. The cat is treated with love and care.

After going viral again, more people are standing up for Yosha the cat. One person tagged PETA in a photo posted online, begging them to do something about the situation.

‘Another poster said;

I don’t understand how you can do something like that to your cat when you don’t even have tattoos, did you think that this would give you more followers on the spot. You’re a hypocrite, you deserve to have your cat taken away from you.”
