Here Is How To Make A Natural Repellent For Wasps And Bees

If you’ve ever been stung by one of these horrible little critters, you’ll know that you don’t want them around. Unlike bees, wasps can sting you multiple times! And while they don’t go out of their way to randomly attack you, but if they’re threatened, they will NOT hesitate to jab away! Their stings leave a nasty burn but aren’t dangerous at all – unless, of course, you’re allergic. Wasps can put a damper on your outdoor plans at the pool or picnic and prevent you from having a pleasant day gardening. And, if they manage to get indoors, they are a real pest! Luckily, there’s a super simple and easy-to-make DIY wasp repellent you can make to help keep your home free from these tiny monsters!

Wasps are kinda important

Before we get into how you can make a DIY wasp repellent, let’s have a look at how wasps actually are important and beneficial to humankind. Unlike bees, most species of wasp do not pollinate. However, they still have some good points! In agriculture, for example, wasps can help keep pests under control. Many wasps are predators and can help control insect populations. Of course, some species of wasp do, in fact, pollinate and help with plant fertilization.[1]

While it’s great and all that they are often helpful, it’s no fun having them in or around your home. They are often quite aggressive and as mentioned previously, can sting you many times! If you have an issue with wasps this springtime, try this awesome easy wasp repellent! The best part is it won’t harm the wasps, just keep them at bay. Allowing you to enjoy the summertime!

How to make your own wasp repellent

Funny enough, when I was a child I remember seeing these things all around the house. Back then I had no idea what they were. Thank you internet because now I know! And what better timing than spring when all the wasps start making themselves known! You can put your natural, homemade wasp repellent in every room to prevent them from coming indoors, as well as outside on the patio to keep them at bay in areas you enjoy relaxing outdoors. The nicest part about these natural wasp repellents is the fact that they smell really good, unlike their chemical-based counterparts.[2]
